We received 4 inches of new snow overnight, 10 inches in the past 2 days, and 22 inches in the past 5 days! The conditions are absolutely amazing! Today we have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna 1 lift. We have 75 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 14 to 46 inches. 26 trails have been groomed for today, including Log Jam, Curley’s Cutback, McPherson’s, Chilcoot, and Smugglers’ Alley for a total of 141 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently, it is snowing and 7 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 15 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for mostly cloudy skies, isolated snow showers early, skies becoming partly sunny in the afternoon with a high of 15 degrees at the base and 9 degrees at higher elevations. Dress warm and enjoy all the new snow! Lower Madonna Liftline will be closed today for snowmaking operations. There is a 3* Freeski Competition today on Madonna Liftline from Catwalk down to the Robin’s Run work road.
