Lesson on Lower Morse Liftline

We have 6 lifts operating today, including Madonna II and Morse Highlands. The Madonna I Lift is closed for the day. We have 23 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. We will have more trails open tomorrow. All 23 trails have been groomed for today, that’s a grand total of 119 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and frozen granular with average base depths of 8 to 30 inches. Currently, it is 28 degrees at the summit of Sterling with freezing rain and winds of 10 to 15 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for freezing rain and sleet becoming snow with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible with a high of 34 degrees. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day. Be aware of changing conditions.
