Nice soft conditions

3 Mountain Logo

It was a wild weather day with sunny skies on top of Madonna this morning and cloudy skies everywhere else. The mild temperatures made for some great spring conditions! I was lucky enough to ski Upper Madonna Liftline from the top this afternoon and Freefall from the top. The soft snow made me feel like a hero. Tomorrow will pretty much be a repeat of today, and I’m looking forward to it! We plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We have 47 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 31 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Upper FIS, Black Snake, and Log Jam, for a total of 130 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and spring conditions with average base depths of 8 to 34 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 38 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for cloudy skies, some fog with a high of 48 degrees at the base and 38 degrees at higher elevations. The temperature is predicted to go below freezing tonight, but not until late. This may cause some delays in the morning due to grooming operations. Please check the report in the morning for the most up-to-date information.
