Snow Rollers are formed naturally. A chunk of snow rolls down a hill and builds up more snow as it rolls. The same way when building a snowman, you roll a chunk of snow along and it continues to build as you push it.

We received a dusting to an inch of new snow in the past 24 hours and 35 inches in the past 4 days. We have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna I Lift. We are 100 percent open with all 78 trails open. 35 trails have been groomed for today, including Chilcoot, Snow Snake, and Thomke’s for a grand total of 140 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 20 to 50 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 28 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Today’s forecast calls for cloudy skies with a chance of snow, mix, and rain with a high of 40 degrees at the base and 36 degrees at higher elevations.
