Beautiful day in the mountains

3 Mountain Logo

After 5 consecutive days of snowfall, the sun came out today. Wonderful views and fantastic conditions were on the menu today, so I decided to have both. We received a dusting of new snow overnight, 4 inches in the past 2 days and 23 inches in the past 6 days. There is a Winter Weather Advisory starting tonight with up to 23 inches of new snow possible at higher elevations by Thursday. We could see 1 to 3 inches of new snow tonight. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for snow showers with 5 to 8 inches of accumulation possible, windy with a high of 14 degrees at the base and 9 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and enjoy all the new snow! Tomorrow, we plan to have 5 lifts operating: Village, Sterling, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, Madonna II, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 32 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches. 17 trails will be groomed tonight, including Smugglers’ Alley, Lower Chilcoot, Garden Path, Crossover, and Midway, for a total of 112 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Lower Rumrunner and Birch Run.
